Sani Rad is a London-based painter and master of Tazhib—the traditional art of Islamic illumination, often created with real gold ink. Originally from Isfahan, the historic heart of Persian art, she is renowned for her intricate geometric and vegetal ornamentation, and her exceptional ability to harmonise colours with precision and depth. With an academic background in fine art and years of dedicated practice, Sani brings a contemporary sensitivity to a centuries-old craft. Her works are meditative, detailed, and luminous—bridging tradition and modernity with elegance and restraint. Her pieces are held in several prominent private collections, including those of the late Jeremy Hardy and the legendary Emma Thompson.
Afshin Naghouni (Ash) is a London-based painter known for his bold, expressive works that explore themes of identity, resistance, and the human form. Trained in fine art, he brings together classical technique and contemporary urgency in compositions that are visually arresting and emotionally layered. Naghouni’s signature style is defined by dynamic forms, complex surfaces, and a striking command of colour—his strong, deliberate colour patterns create tension and harmony in equal measure. His large-scale mixed media paintings blur the line between abstraction and figuration, often confronting beauty, power, and the politics of visibility. His work has been exhibited internationally and is held in several prominent private and public collections, including that of philanthropist and art patron Bita Daryabari.
