Sana Nassari brings two decades of experience in dealing, curating and collecting contemporary art. She holds an MA in the History of Art from SOAS, University of London, and began her writing career with a commission on Epic Iran at the V&A. Her criticism is known for lucid analysis of art’s social and political contexts, and she has been featured in the Observer. Sana has also served as a judge for art awards, keeping her close to new voices as well as established names.

The May Fine Art team is professional, experienced and well connected across the art world. We work with a considered roster of artists based in the UK and overseas, alongside galleries, studios and estates. Whether sourcing existing pieces or commissioning site-specific works, we handle the full journey: brief and shortlisting; curator’s notes and visuals; approvals; provenance; framing; delivery and installation.

Our mission is exacting: to place timeless contemporary works whose authenticity and scale feel inevitable in situ. We tailor to a range of budgets without compromising integrity, drawing on genuine market knowledge as well as taste. The vision is clear and demanding: artworks calibrated to the magnitude of the property and the ambition of its design, so that space and work honour one another.

How We Work
We begin by listening, understanding the story of the project, the client’s sensibilities and the architectural sightlines. From there we present a focused shortlist across media, including painting, works on paper, photography, sculpture and textiles, with limited editions where appropriate. Where a commission is right, we manage the dialogue between artist and client so the final piece arrives with confidence and clarity, ready to live, and to last.
